Whether forklift truck or industrial robot - in the training as an industrial mechanic (m/f/d) you learn how to manufacture parts of devices and machines and how to assemble them into technical systems. In your training company you will be trained as an all-round talent. You will learn how to read and prepare technical drawings and how to manufacture and assemble components such as axles and gears yourself. In addition, you adjust the mechanical components of the machine and at the end test the function so that a smooth process can be guaranteed.

After three and a half years of dual training as an industrial mechanic, you are fit for the job market. You will be introduced to the secrets of mechanical engineering in a weekly change of practice and theory, in the training company and the vocational school. Depending on what he specialises in, you will deepen your knowledge in areas such as mechanical and plant engineering, maintenance and production engineering.

In your first and second year of training, you will familiarize yourself with materials and machine tools and produce your first components and simple assemblies. You can then install and set up mechanical assemblies yourself. In the third and fourth years of your training, you will plan entire technical and automated systems and be responsible for the right quality.
